Executive Coaching

We know what superior performance in managerial, executive and top management leadership jobs feels and looks like in successful, top performing organisations. And we know the psychology needed to challenge; to encourage the executive to experiment, change and adopt different patterns of actions; and to guide and support individuals to make the 'step changes' necessary to advance their career and realise potential.

Coaching for Enhanced Contribution and Development

We are concerned with enabling the person to tangibly improve personal and business effectiveness. We will work with the individual's manager and/or corporate sponsor to help set relevant objectives and to ensure appropriate progress is being made.

We will provide a reality base by considering capabilities, focusing on the future, setting objectives with achievement measures, and by utilising coaching disciplines and techniques to adapt to the individual and specific needs. We provide a safe relationship for the executive to talk openly, explore and experiment with difference approaches.

Leadership Transition, sometimes know as "on-boarding"

Moving to a new, significantly different, more demanding job represents both corporate and personal career risks. As a result many executives become "de-railed" and fail. Yet research by Harvard business school and others share the lessons learned by both successful and derailed CEOs.

We provide a structured approach to help the executive prioritise their key activities during the first vital 100 days and plan for the future by:

  • Avoiding known pitfalls and traps that lead to an executive derailing
  • Accelerating learning and gaining 'quick wins'
  • Utilising progressive and well established "waves of change"
  • Applying the principles of successfully managing major change
  • Anchoring foundations for the long term
  • Applying 'enablers' - the personal and leadership qualities found in winning CEOs.

This process enables the executives to establish themselves in role quickly and effectively, minimise "de-railment" risks, accelerate the time to productivity, and maximise impact both in the short and long term.

Leadership transition coaching is particularly valuable when an individual:

  • Joins your business from another organisation as the new CEO or member of the executive team;
  • Is promoted from within to an executive role or to the CEO post;
  • Moves from local to regional or central management;
  • Progresses from functional leadership to become a general manager of a business unit;
  • Makes the transition from the familiarity of the UK to a new cultural and business environment elsewhere in the world.
